A Note About the Schedule

30 Days.

30 Ideas.

Was I out of my mind?

It’s true that a lot of these ideas have been rattling around in my brain for a long time. But even so, writing a coherent explanation of the product concept is a time-consuming process. Add to that the time it takes to consider the market potential and the competitive landscape, to speculate wildly about pricing and revenue, and to enumerate a few high-level pros and cons of the idea (compared to all the other things I could be working on), and…well…it’s a tiny bit crazy.

Also, I forgot about a small fact: my younger brother is getting married this weekend, so I’ll be up to my eyeballs in family events for the next four or five days.

Long story short: I’m going to keep my promise about posting 30 ideas in 30 days. The 30th idea will be posted no later than July 9th. But I’ll probably miss a day or two over the next few days, and I’ll catch up next week.

Also, I’ll see if I can sneak something in on Friday, between luncheons and receptions and photo shoots.

Yes, you were out of your mind. Unless you had already fully written 20 of them before you started. July 9th is still ambitious, but I like ambitious goals like this. Good luck.

Save yourself some time. For the smaller products, deliver just an elevator pitch instead of a full write-up.

You are right, to write a post as good as the previous takes some time. I’ll be happy if you write about 30 ideas in 60 days, let’s say the 30th before July 30th.

    Greetings to your brother!

Kudos for keeping your promise. Having 30 ideas is much less work than writing about them ;-)

I think Bill Gates said: “We overestimate what can be accomplished in a year and underestimate what can be accomplished in ten.”

    So true.

    Best wishes
